New Media (Day 2)

Today, it came to my mind again on the the usage of different median (object or body parts) to punish our children and they are NOT to be overlap.  Using of palm is for praising and NOT to associate with smacking/slapping.  Kids are fast learner and they may learn the wrong doing.

Digital media is just a platform for us to communicate our idea across.  Hence, it is to assist us and not to hinder our process.  In addition, it should not create hidden meaning on the type of media that we want to use so as not to create misunderstanding.  Is a combo theory to make use of digital media....

New Media (Day 1)

I am attending another module on my Specialize Diploma in Leaning Science, New Media in Teaching Pedagogy.  This is my third module for this year and another three more to complete for next year.

Today, lesson is an introduction to some new digital platform that we as an instructor can make use of it to conduct our lessons/discussion/forum, etc.  However, each platform has its own Pros and Cons and we user will need to know the limitation and work around the platform.  In this new era, everyday new technology is implemented and they are built to improve our productivity and efficiency.  It also cover on the Principles of New Media which are Digital, Hyper-textual, Interactive, Simulated, Networked and Virtual, that we need to consider during our implementation.
